I'm Kevin Tieman, developer from Borne, Netherlands. After years of WordPress jobs for family, friends and local businesses, I started noticing a pattern: there's no middle ground between a Wix template and a €15K agency project. And that middle ground is exactly where most of the demand lives.

That's why I started Tieman IT. One person. No agency layer. No account manager as a filter. When you have a website built, you email me. When something breaks, you email me. When you have a question a week after launch, you email, you guessed it, me.

Where it goes wrong for most small businesses

I see three patterns with small service business owners looking to grow online:

1. They pick Wix or Squarespace. Cheap, live fast, but after a year they're stuck with a template design that looks identical to five competitors nearby. Load times of 6–8 seconds on mobile. Google ranking in the depths.
2. They hire a local agency for €8,000–€15,000. Nice result, but every change costs overtime fees and you never talk to the actual builder. Two years later the site is outdated and the agency wants €6,000 for a refresh.
3. They ask a family member or friend who "knows computers". It never gets finished, or if it does, there's no ongoing support.
